This proposal was born as an economic and quality alternative to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, accessible and without the need to use the train service, it will show the best of peruvian geography and gastronomy, where you will live an unforgettable adventure traveling through picturesque roads and exciting.
Day 1: Cusco - Hidroelectrica - Aguas Calientes
We will pass by your hotel at approximately 7:30 am to travel towards Hidroelectrica. After a 6-hour trip we will arrive at the Hidroelectrica station where you can have lunch right there or anywhere along the way (we recommend eating something light). The walk to the town of Aguas Calientes will be from 2:00-2:30 hours. Here we will indicate the location of your Hotel by giving you a map of the small town of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon (7:00-7:30 pm) our guide will visit you to give you all the instructions for the next day and take you to the restaurant for dinner.
Day 2: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
You have two options to go up to Machu Picchu. You can do it by walking up the stairs for 1:30 hours (free) or buy a bus ticket for $12usd (we recommend buying the ticket the day before in Aguas Calientes, our guide can take you).
You must calculate your departure time from Machu Picchu at approximately 11:00 am, to start the road to Hidroelectrica, since the bus leaves 2:30-3:00 pm. The arrival will be 8:00-9:00 pm to Cusco (San Francisco Square).
(If you want to do Huaynapicchu mountain, we recommend you get on the first bus to take advantage of your turn).
